OnePlus today announces Android P update for its 2-year old smartphones OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. OnePlus 3 was introduced in June 2015 followed by successor OnePlus 3T in November 2016. A week back both devices had received the OxygenOS 5.0.4 update with camera improvements and also the latest July 2018 Android security patches.

OnePlus has also said that they are skipping Android 8.1 for OnePlus 3/3T to focus on development resources on the Android P project. The first device in the OnePlus family to receive Android P update is OnePlus 6 followed by OnePlus 5/5T and OnePlus 3/3T. More info is expected in the coming months.
