Both variants are exclusively available via Amazon India starting today i.e 22 June 2017 at 4.30 PM as an early access sale. Earlier (20-06-2017) – OnePlus unveils the highly-anticipated dual camera smartphone OnePlus 5. It is also the company’s first dual camera smartphone comes with 20MP and 18MP sensors at the rear side. It is available in two variants – 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage. This smartphone is powered by the top of the line Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor with Dash charge Powered 3300mAh battery and runs on OxygenOS based on Android Nougat.
In terms of design, OnePlus 5 has a metal unibody design with 7.5mm thickness and antenna lines on rear top and bottom. The ceramic coated fingerprint scanner is embedded into the menu button and capable of unlocking the smartphone in 0.2 seconds. Similar to OnePlus 3T, it also has an Alert slide. It’s a Dual SIM device supports 34 network bands across the globe.The major feature missing the microSD slot. It also comes with an RGB notification light and supports Reading mode, Night mode, Lift up display.
Coming to the camera, It includes a wide-angle 16MP F/1.7 Sony IMX 398 sensor and Telephoto 20MP f/2.6 Sony IMX 350 sensor with Dual-tone LED flash. It supports PDAF, 2X Zoom, EIS, and can shoot 4K videos at 30fps. Furthermore, OnePlus 5 is powered by the Fast Auto Focus which is 40% faster than the OnePlus 3T. Also, the 16MP front camera supports EIS, Screen flash, Smile Capture, Face beauty and can shoot full HD videos at 30fps. For connectivity, it includes Dual Band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio port.
OnePlus 5 is offered in Midnight Black and Slate Gray colors and priced at $ 479 for the 6GB/64GB variant and $ 539 for the 8GB/128GB variant. Sales on OnePlus.net starts from June 27, 2017. The Early Drop has already begun and will run for 48 hours until June 22, 1:00 PM EDT. Early Drop shipments will begin on June 21 via free priority shipping. OnePlus 5 India launch is scheduled on June 22 and the sale begins on the same day at 4.30 PM via Amazon India.
