Just after launching Redmi 9 Prime, Xiaomi launches yet another entry-level smartphone called Redmi 9 in India. It’s the successor of last year Redmi 8, comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ display with 1600 x 720 pixels and also has a V-shaped notch to house the front camera. Under the hood is MediaTek Helio G35 Octa-core CPU mated with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.
In the camera part, the Redmi 9 is backed by the Dual (13MP Primary and 2MP Depth) camera setup housed on rectangular slab along with a LED flash. Over to front, the device gets a 5MP snapper that supports AI beauty mode and also portrait mode. For security, you’ll get Face Unlock support along with fingerprint reader which is placed on the rear side of the device.

The Redmi 9 is offered in three colors – Carbon Black, Sky Blue & Sporty Orange and will go on sale via Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home and Mi Studios starting 31st August 2020. The 4GB/64GB variant is priced at ₹8,999 and the 4GB/128GB at ₹9,999.
