Xiaomi launches Redmi 9 Prime, an entry-level smartphone with Full HD display and Quad-camera. It is nothing but a rebranded version of Redmi 9 which was introduced in July 2020. It comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display and powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 Octa-core processor with a 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
In the camera department, the Redmi 9 is backed by a Quad-camera module on the rear that includes a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro lens, and also a 2MP depth camera. On the front, the device gets an 8MP camera housed inside the display notch. The fingerprint scanner is also there for extended security which is placed inline with a quad-camera module. It is offered in two configurations – 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB.

The Redmi 9 Prime is offered in three colors – Sunrise Flare, Space Blue, Mint Green & Matte Black, and available to buy via Amazon.in, Mi.com starting 6th August 2020. The 4GB/64GB variant is priced at ₹9,999 and the 4GB/128GB at ₹11,999. It will also be made available via Mi Home, Mi Studio, and offline retailers across India in the coming days. and Mi Stores.
