Along with the Android Go Edition Nokia 1, HMD Global has also launched the New Nokia 6 with Android One at MWC 2018. It is the same Nokia 6 (2018) which was introduced in China in January 2018. Being a part of Google’s Android One program, this device runs on Android Oreo out of the box and will get with regular security updates and two years of OS upgrades. In terms of design, it is made from a solid block of 6000 series aluminium with 11 hours of two-tone anodizing and polishing process. The fingerprint scanner is mounted on the rear side of the device just below the camera module.
It has a 5.5-inch full HD 16:9 display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and powered by the Snapdragon 630 octa-core CPU with a non-removable 3000mAh battery that provides up to 50% of power in 30 minutes of charge. It is available in two configurations – 3GB RAM / 32GB Storage and 4GB RAM / 64GB Storage. Coming to the camera, it has a 16MP f/2.0 rear camera and an 8MP f/2.0 front camera with 84˚ Wide-angle lens. Along with the 4K video recording, the camera also supports enhanced Dual-Sight mode also known as bothie mode that allows you use both front and rear camera in the split screen mode and can also be live streamed to social feeds such as Facebook and YouTube etc. Other key specifications are Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi n, FM Radio and a USB Type C port.
The New Nokia 6 is offered in Black/Copper, White/Iron, & Blue/Gold colors and will be available to buy in early April 2018 at a global average retail price of €279 (Approx. ₹22,200).
