Nokia 6 was the first Android smartphone from HMD Global launched in China in January 2017. Initially, it was exclusive to China and later the company expanded the sales to other countries including India. Today, HMD Global has launched 2nd Generation Nokia 6 also known as Nokia 6 (2018) in China. This device comes with an upgraded processor and the repositioned fingerprint scanner. The newly launched Nokia 6 has the same 5.5″ full HD display with 2.5D glass and protected by 3rd Gen. Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood is Snapdragon 630 octa-core CPU mated with 4GB RAM and a 3000mAh battery that provides 50% power in 30 minutes. It houses a hybrid dual SIM tray lets you use either two Nano SIM cards or a Nano SIM and a microSD card.
The 2nd Gen. Nokia has the same camera as the 1st Gen. i.e. 16MP f/2.0 rear camera and an 8MP f/2.0 front camera with 84˚ Wide-angle lens. The major addition to camera department is the dual-view mode also known as bothie mode which was first introduced with Nokia 8. It allows you use both front and rear camera in the split screen mode and can also be live streamed to social feeds such as Facebook and YouTube etc. In terms of design, Nokia 6 has metal unibody machined from a 6000 series aluminum and the fingerprint scanner mounted on the rear side. It runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and also upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo. Other key specifications are 64GB internal storage, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi n, FM Radio and a USB Type C port.
Nokia 6 is offered in two colors – Black and Silver and available to buy in China starting 10th January 2018. The 4GB/32GB variant priced at 1499 Yuan (Approx. ₹14,700) and the 4GB/64GB variant cost 1699 Yuan (Approx. ₹16,600). Pre-orders have already begun on Suning.com.
