Nokia’s first Android-powered smartphone Nokia 6 was first introduced in India on 13th June and went on sale via Amazon.in through a flash sale on 14th July 2017 with a price tag of ₹14,999. Initially, it was available only in 3GB RAM / 32GB Storage configuration and now the company has launched the 4GB RAM variant of Nokia 6 in India. This variant comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage with all other specifications remain same. It will be offered in Matte Black color and exclusively available via Flipkart at ₹16,999 starting 20th February. On 5th January 2018, Nokia had also introduced the 2018 edition of Nokia 6 in China and it is not yet available in India.
To recall, the Nokia 6 has an aluminum unibody design with 2.5D surface glass display and the front mounted Fingerprint scanner. It sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display which is also protected by 3rd Gen. Gorilla Glass. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 430 octa-core CPU mated with 3GB or 4GB of RAM and a non-removable 3000mAh battery. For photography, Nokia 6 has a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP front camera with 84˚ Wide-angle lens. For connectivity, it includes WiFi n, Dual SIM support, VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, Micro USB port and a 3.5mm audio port. Although the stable Android Oreo update is released for Nokia 6, the 6GB variant comes with Android Nougat out of the box. You may need to download the Android Oreo OTA update after receiving the device.
