Xiaomi Announces Smartbox Delivery Service in India

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has partnered with Automated parcel delivery network Smartbox to give you the flexibility to pick-up your orders 24×7. Smartbox is India’s first network of automated parcel delivery terminals lets you pick-up your orders at any time through an automated parcel delivery terminals that are located in easily accessible locations like residential complexes, metro stations etc.

How Does Xiaomi Smartbox Delivery Service Work?

  • Login to Mi.com or Mi Store app
  • Add the product to your shopping cart
  • Select a delivery address
  • If Smartbox delivery is available for the selected address, the Smartbox dialog box will appear on the checkout page
  • Select the nearest Smartbox delivery terminal
  • Checkout by selecting the appropriate payment method. You can also opt for Cash on Delivery (COD)
  • Once an order is placed, you will get a confirmation message from mi.com and also a message from Smartbox mentioning pick-up OTP
  • Once your order reaches the selected Smartbox terminal, Smartbox team will send you a confirmation message requesting you to pick up your order
  • If you have already paid for your order, enter the OTP you have received in the Smartbox terminal and collect your order
  • If it is a COD order, you can use your Credit/Debit card for payment or you can also pay using BHIM or Paytm

Things to remember
  • Smartbox delivery is available on Mi Store app (v2.10.1 and above) and on mi.com
  • You will receive the notifications via SMS and Email. These notifications will include the terminal details and the secure OTP
  • No cash payment option available
  • Once the parcel gets delivered to the terminal selected by the customer, there is no way to change it
  • The order will be available at the selected Smartbox terminal for a duration of 72 hours after the parcel is delivered to the terminal. You need to pick the order at any time during these 72 hours
  • If the customer fails to pick-up within 72 hours, the order will be canceled and will be returned back to seller and will no longer be available for the pick-up
  • Do not share OTP with anyone. Neither Xiaomi, Platform operator, seller or Smartbox will hold any responsibility in case of OTP misuse for fraudulent parcel collection
  • There are no charges for orders worth ₹500 and above. ₹50 is applied to orders below ₹500
  • Currently, Smartbox delivery is available only in select Pin Codes of Haryana, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh. More terminals will be added in the coming days
  • In case the product you received is tampered or defective, get in touch with customer support team. Do not leave the product in the locker
