Back in January 2019, Xiaomi had introduced its first face mask dubbed as Mi AirPOP PM2.5 Anti-Pollution Mask. Now, the brand announces yet another face mask called KN95 Mask in India. These masks come with 4-layers of protection. A non-woven material on the outermost for filtering particles and innermost layer for optimum breathing.
The Mask also come with inner two layers of melt-blown fabric for bacterial and small particle filtration. According to Xiaomi, the KN95 Mask has 95%+ Bacterial Filter Efficiency (BFE), preventing viable particles that may vary between the size 1-5 microns and also coupled with 95%+ Particle Filter Efficiency (PFE) that prevents entry of nonviable particles that are fixed in size from 0.1 micron to 1 micron.
The micro filtration material used in the mask is soft, lightweight and gentle on skin ensuring that anyone can wear it for long hours. It is further designed with a nose pin for a firm fixture ensuring there is no leakage and hence prevents fogging on the glasses. These GB 2626-2019 certified masks also come with softer ear loops making it easy for users to wear it for a longer time without any pain around the ears.
The pack of 2 of Mi KN95 masks is priced at ₹250 and a pack of 5 at ₹600. These masks will be available at Mi.com, Mi Homes and Retail stores starting 13th October 2020.
