At CES 2018, along with the Xperia XA2, Sony has also announced Xperia XA 2 Ultra, the successor of Xperia XA Ultra which was launched in 2017. This smartphone has a bigger display, dual front cameras, and a slightly bigger battery when compared with the Xperia XA2. It has a 6-inch full HD display and powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 CPU and a non-removable 3580mAh battery. It is available in two storage configurations – 32GB & 64GB with 4GB RAM on both. Apart from the Single SIM variant, it is also available in Dual SIM configuration in few select countries.
The major highlight of this smartphone is the Dual front camera setup that includes a primary 16MP sensor with OIS and a secondary 8MP sensor with 120° Wide-angle lens accompanied by a Selfie flash. The rear camera has a 23MP sensor with LED flash and also supports 4K video recording. Sams as Xperia XA2’s design, it also has the anodized aluminium on the sides with the diamond-cut finish on the top and bottom and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The connectivity options also remain same i.e. Android Oreo, FM Radio, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi ac, GPS and a USB Type-C port.
The Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra is offered in four colors – Silver, Black, Blue, & Gold and will go on sale starting February 2018. There is no information about the pricing.
