POCO X2 Launching in India on 4th February

POCO, a sub-brand of Xiaomi had introduced its first smartphone Poco F1 in August 2018 with impressive specs at very competitive pricing. Due to the popularity of Poco F1, many users were desperately waiting for its successor but, it took about 18 months for POCO to expand the lineup. On 17th January 2020, Manu Kumar Jain, VP Xiaomi has officially announced that Poco will operate independently of Xiaomi and now Poco has announced that it will be launching its second smartphone dubbed as Poco X2 in India on 4th February 2020.

According to the teaser on the POCO India website, the POCO X2 will come with an Extreme Refresh Rate display (Expected to be 120Hz), Sony IMX686 sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon Mobile Platform, and Liquid cooling for better gaming performance. The teaser also clearly shows that the smartphone has a USB Type-C port, bottom-ported speaker and a 3.5mm audio jack.

According to rumors, the Poco X2 will be the rebranded variant of Redmi K30 4G with a few additional India specific changes. Even the image of the bottom view shown in the Poco India website looks exactly the same as the Redmi K30 4G. The upcoming POCO X2 is expected to take on Relame’s recently launched Realme X2 and priced around ₹15,000.

For your information, the Redmi K30 4G sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and powered by the Snapdragon 765 Mobile Platform with a fast charge-supported (27W) 4500mAh battery. In the camera department, the K30 4G has a 20MP+2MP dual in-screen front camera and quad-camera setup on the rear that includes a 64MP Sony-made IMX686 sensor supported by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 2MP Macro Lens and a 2MP Depth camera.
