OnePlus 5 Soft Gold Limited Edition Goes Official

OnePlus 5 was first launched in 21 June 2017 globally with Slate Gray and Midnight Black colors and today the company has announced OnePlus 5 in a new Limited Edition Soft Gold color. The new Soft Gold color is available only with 6GB/64GB configuration in limited quantities. Along with this, the company is also launching the 8GB/128GB variant in Slate Gray color. Initially, it was available only in Midnight Balck. There are no changes in the pricing as well as specifications.

In a statement, OnePlus said, “It takes an average of 180 days to create and perfect a coating of soft gold. Getting a perfectly even and light color starts with running premium aluminum alloy through a diamond cutter. The surface is then sandblasted and polished with intense precision. Each second matters in this process, or the anodized color takes on a different shade. It’s an extensive process, but the result is worth it- a stunning matte finish, pleasing to see and feel

To recall, OnePlus 5 is the company’s first dual camera smartphone comes with 20MP and 18MP sensors at the rear side. This smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor with Dash charge Powered 3300mAh battery and runs on OxygenOS based on Android Nougat. It has a 5.5″ Optic AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 5 and front mounted fingerprint scanner. At the front, you will get a 16MP front camera that supports EIS, Screen flash, Smile Capture, Face beauty etc.

OnePlus 5 Soft Gold Availability

Starting 9th August 2017 at 12 AM, the Limited Edition OnePlus 5 Soft Gold with 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant will be available at ₹ 32,999 through Amazon India as well as on It will be also made available across OnePlus Experience stores in Bangalore, Mall of India Noida and Select Citywalk in New Delhi. The Slate Gray OnePlus 5 with 8GB RAM/128GB storage will also be available on Amazon India, and across OnePlus Experience Stores in Delhi and Bangalore at ₹ 37,999 in the upcoming weeks. In other countries, it will be available via at noon EDT, 9 AM PDT, 5 PM BST, and 6 PM CEST starting August 7, 2017.
