Update: Two weeks after the Global debut, Nokia brings its new entry-level smartphone Nokia 2.3 to India. It will be available to buy via nokia.com/phones at ₹8,199 starting from 27th December with a 1-year replacement guarantee. It will also be made available via offline retail stores across India including Sangeetha Mobiles, Poorvika, Reliance Digital, and Croma.
Earlier: 5th December – Nokia launches Nokia 2.3, the successor of last year’s Nokia 2.2 at an event held in Cairo, Egypt. It’s an entry-level smartphone that comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 and powered by the Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22 processor with a 4,000mAh battery. According to Nokia, the AI-assisted battery easily lasts up to 2 days on a single charge. It offers 2GB RAM, 32GB Storage and also includes a dedicated MicroSD slot that allows you to expand the device storage upto 512GB.
For photography, Nokia 2.3 comes with a dual-camera setup on the rear side that includes a primary 13MP camera and a secondary 2MP sensor with LED flash. The front camera has a 5MP sensor that is housed inside a display notch. The Nokia 2.3 runs on the Android 9 Pie and also part of Googles’ Android One program that provides 2-years of OS upgrades and 3-years of monthly security updates. Nokia 2.3 doesn’t include a fingerprint scanner but, it supports enhanced Face Unlock.
