Popular video streaming platform Netflix has announced up to 60% price drop across its plans in India. The Mobile-only plan which was earlier priced at ₹199 will now cost ₹149. The Basic ₹499 plan gets the biggest price cut which will now cost ₹199. The Standard plan that allows access to two devices will now cost ₹499 which is about ₹150 cheaper than the old price of ₹649. The Premium plan that allows 4K HDR streaming on four devices is reduced to ₹649 from ₹799.

If you’re already a Netflix member and on a Mobile, Basic, or Standard plan, Netflix will upgrade you to the plan that is one tier higher than your current plan, at the same monthly price that you pay for Netflix today Next time when you’re on Netflix, you’ll receive a notification on your device, where you can choose ‘Confirm Upgrade‘ to use the plan or choose any other plan you wish.

The new prices will go live from 14th December 2021 and will come into effect from the next billing cycle for members. The new members can simply sign up for Netflix and choose the plan they want during the signup process.
