Mi Router 3C is a smart wireless router from Xiaomi that comes with a dedicated app called Mi WiFi to set up and control the router. Setting up the router is very easy and it will take hardly 10 minutes. You can also set up the router manually by using the web-based interface. Download the Mi WiFi app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. This App is compatible with Android smartphones running Android 4.0.3 or later and iOS devices running iOS 7.0 or later.
Mi Router 3C Setup
Before starting with the setup, connect your router to the power source and plug in the Ethernet cable. Once the router powers up, open MiWiFi app and select ‘Set up a new router’ from the welcome screen. The app automatically detects the new router. The router name will be Xiaomi_XXXX where XXXX is your router’s id. Tap on ‘Connect’ and select ‘Primary base station’.
Now enter the PPPoE Username and Password (Given by the internet service provider). Tap on ‘Next’ which establishes the connection between your router and the internet service provider.
Enter the Network Name and Password. Select the option ‘Set as router admin as well” so that you don’t need to remember multiple passwords. This password will be your WiFi password and it can also be used for logging into the Web based interface. Both passwords can be changed whenever required. Tap on ‘Finish’ and input your Mi Account ID and Password. Log in using your existing Mi account credentials or create a new account. Once you have successfully signed in, connect your devices to router. All connected devices will show up on the app home screen.
