Along with the Honor 9A, Honor also announces yet another entry-level smartphone dubbed as Honor 9S in India. It comes with a 5.45-inch HD+ no-notch display and powered by MediaTek MT6762R octa-core processor with a 3,020mAh battery. It offers 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and also equipped with a dedicated MicroSD tray that supports upto 512GB.
For photography, the Honor 9S comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera. The rear camera also supports Panorama mode and Dark mode. Just like Honor 9S, the Honor 9A also runs on Android 10 but does not support Google Play. Instead, it supports Huawei Mobile Services (HMS). So you’ll not be able to use Google Play Store and other Google apps such as Google Maps, Google Chrome, etc on Honor 9S. As an alternative, you can use Huawei’s own app store called App Gallery to download the apps and games.
Honor 9S comes in two colors – Black & Blue and priced at ₹5,999. It will go on sale via Flipkart starting from 6th August 2020.
