Honor announces Honor 8X, the successor of last years Honor 7X along with an Honor 8X Max in China. The Honor 8X comes with a Notched display, smaller battery and Huawei’s own Kirin Processor wherein the Honor 8X Max comes with a bigger teardrop display, bigger battery, and a Snapdragon processor. Both devices equipped with different dual camera setup and run on Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.2 on top. Apart from the Display, Processor, and Battey most of the other specifications such as Rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 4.2, 5GHz WiFi, Dual VoLTE, USB OTG etc. are same on both of the devices. Another major difference is the SIM Tray, the Honor 8X has dedicated MicroSD slot but Honor 8X Max has a Hybrid SIM tray.
Honor 8X
The Honor 8X sports a 6.5-inch FullHD+ Notched display with an aspect ratio 19.5:9 and powered by the Huawei’s in-house Kirin 710 Octa-core processor with fast charge supported 3,750mAh battery. Compared to 8X Max, this device has a better Dual-camera setup on the rear side that includes a 20MP primary and a 2MP secondary sensor aligned vertically with a LED flash. The front camera has an 8MP sensor and supports AI beauty, Fun AR, portrait mode etc.

Honor 8X Max
The Honor 8X Max comes with a bigger 7.2-inch FullHD+ teardrop display powered by the Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660 Octa-core processor. Apart from the bigger display, this device also has a massive 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging. Coming to the camera, Honor 8X Max has a downgraded dual camera setup that includes a 16MP primary and a 2MP secondary sensor with a LED flash. The front camera also downgraded to 8MP instead of a 16MP on the Honor 8X.
