Asus Zenfone 6 was first introduced on 18th May 2019 in Spain and was supposed to launch in India on 19th June 2019. But, Asus was rumored to postpone the India launch due to the recent court order restricted them from using Zen or Zenfone branding on its products in India. Now, according to the listing on Flipkart, Asus is launching the Zenfone 6 as Asus 6z in India. Asus has also confirmed the news in a Press Release.
The Asus 6z comes with a 6.46-inch Full HD+ display and powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform with a 5,000mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 4.0. The key highlight of Asus 6z is the unique flip camera mechanism. The Flip mechanism is driven by a precision stepper motor that flips the module by a full 180° to switch the cameras from rear to front use. The dual camera setup includes a primary 48MP sensor and a 13MP wide-angle sensor with a LED flash placed in between the two sensors.
The flip mechanism can be also be positioned at various Angles. Apart from the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, Asus 6z also includes a Smart Key that provides Quick access to Google Assistant & other functions. The Asus Zenfone 6 comes in two colors – Midnight Black & Twilight Silver with three configurations to choose from – 6GB/64GB, 6GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB.
