Along with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, Apple also launches iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, the successors of last years, iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max. The new iPhone 12 Pro series comes with an all-new design with Ceramic Shield, Triple camera system, LiDAR Scanner, and Super Retina XDR display.
The iPhone 12 comes with a 6.1-inch display while the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a bigger 6.7-inch display. Both devices are powered by A14 Bionic chipset with 16-core Neural Engine for an improved performance. It is also the first chip in the smartphone industry built on 5-nanometer technology. Both devices feature new flat-edge design made up of a surgical-grade stainless steel band paired with a precision-milled matte glass back. These also protected by the Ceramic Shield front cover which increases drop performance by 4x.
Both devices equipped with 12MP triple camera setup with a slight change in the Telephoto lens. iPhone 12 Pro features a wide-angle camera with an ƒ/1.6 aperture for an about 27 percent improved low-light performance in photo and video. The iPhone 12 Pro Max comes with ƒ/1.6 aperture Wide camera boasts a 47 percent larger sensor with 1.7μm pixels for about 87 percent improvement in low-light performance.
The iPhone 12 Pro has Ultra-wide camera with 120˚ FOV and 52mm Telephoto camera with 4X optical zoon while the iPhone 12 Pro Max variant is backed by an ultra-wide camera with 120˚ FOV and 65mm Telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom. Furthermore, both iPhone 12 Pro models support Apples’ new ProRAW mode (Coming later this year) allows users manually control colour, detail, and dynamic range natively on iPhone or with other compatible photo editing apps. Just like iPhone 12 Series, the Pro series also includes a 12.2MP TrueDepth Camera on the front that supports 4K video recording.
