Update: 29th November 2019 – Initially, Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 was made available in three color options – Space Black, Neptune Blue, & Moonlight White. Now, the brand has launched a Cosmic Purple color variant of Redmi Note 8 in India. It will be available for the first time via Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home at 12 noon, 29th November 2019. The 4GB/64GB priced at ₹9,999 and the 6GB/128GB at ₹12,999. Apart from the color, there are no changes in the pricing as well as technical specifications.
Earlier: 16th October 2019 – Just after launching the entry-level Xiaomi A-series, Xiaomi expands its popular Redmi Note line with the launch of Redmi Note 8 in India. It is the successor of last year’s Redmi Note 7 sports a with a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with dewdrop-styled Notch and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Mobile Platform with a non-removable 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It is offered in two RAM/Storage configurations – 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB.
For photography, Redmi Note 8 equipped with a Quad camera setup that includes a 48MP primary sensor positioned vertically with an 8MP Ultra-wide camera, a 2MP depth sensor and also a 2MP macro sensor. The front camera has a 13MP sensor housed in the v-shaped display notch. For security, this device supports Face Unlock and also equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
