vivo expands its 5G portfolio with the launch of Vivo Y72 5G in India. It is also the first smartphone in vivo Y-series to support 5G. It sports a 6.58-inch Full HD+ display and supports a screen refresh rate of up to 90Hz. Under the hood is Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G Mobile Platform accompanied by a 5,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging.
In the camera part, the device gets a 48MP main camera on the rear which is supported by a 2MP Bokeh camera. On the front, you’ll get an 8MP camera housed inside the V-shaped display notch. The camera also supports various AI modes such as Super Night Mode, Personalized portraits, Face Beauty for video calls, and Super HDR
The device also supports the Extended RAM feature that provides extra ROM space up to 4GB for improved performance. Other key features are 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, Side fingerprint sensor, Funtouch OS 11.1 with Android 11, Ultra Game Mode with 4D Game Vibration, and Multi-Turbo 5.0.
Vivo Y72 5G will be available in two color options – Prism Magic & Slate Gray and priced at ₹20,990. It will be available via vivo India e-store, Amazon.in, Flipkart, Paytm, Tatacliq, Bajaj EMI Store, and across all partner retail stores across India starting from 15th July 2021. Like the majority of the Vivo devices, the Y72 follows vivo’s commitment to ‘Make in India’ and is manufactured at vivo’s Greater Noida facility.
