Huawei’s e-brand Honor announces two new features – Spo2 and Female Cycle Tracking for Honor MagicWatch 2 which was launched in India in January 2020. The SpO2 feature will be available on both 42mm and 46mm variants wherein the Female cycle tracker feature will be made available on the 42mm variant first followed by a 46mm variant at a later date. Both features have already have started rolling out in Indian via an OTA update.
SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation) Detection
The SpO2 feature allows the users to track the oxygen saturation level in their blood to keep a better check of their health and fitness. The oxygen levels in the blood decrease after exercise or physical exertions and the SpO2 feature helps detect the blood oxygen levels. Taking a cue from the blood oxygen saturation level, users can decide either to rest or do some breathing exercises to get the blood oxygen back to normal levels.
With the help of the SpO2 feature, users can understand how their body is adapting and adjusting to their workouts, sleep cycles and environmental changes. The higher the oxygen content in the blood, the better the metabolism of the human being. Generally, the reading of blood oxygen saturation levels in any individual should be anywhere between 90% to 100%. If the SpO2 reading persists below 90%, it is advisable to review and seek medical advice.
Female Cycle Tracker
It’s a unique feature designed to help keep a track of women’s menstrual cycle and fertility window symptoms. This feature will notify period predictions, menstrual cycle data and estimated fertility period, alongside other health features such as Sleep, Heart Rate, SpO2 and other daily activities to track data and, draw inferences and connections. All data can be checked on the Huawei Health App.
The Honor MagicWatch 2, 46mm variant is offered in Charcoal Black & Flax Brown colors and the price starts at ₹12,999 while the 42mm variant is available in Agate Black & Sakura Gold colors and price starts at ₹11,999. Both variants will be available on Amazon.in and also on Flipkart.com.
