Samsung has recently launched its newest Solid State Drive, the Portable SSD T9 in India. This portable SSD is available in three capacities – 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. It boasts a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface, delivering impressive read/write speeds of up to 2,000 MB/s. As per Samsung’s claims, the T9 surpasses its predecessor, the T7, with maximum sequential read/write speeds of up to 2,000 MB/s on the USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface.
This nearly doubles the speed, enabling you to transfer a 4GB Full HD video in roughly two seconds. The SSD is designed to withstand drops from heights of up to three meters and Its rubber exterior provides a comfortable grip and offers protection against low-temperature burns. This drive is powered by Samsung’s Dynamic Thermal Guard which helps prevent the drive from slowing down when it gets too hot, so it keeps working fast and steady.
Also, the T9 meets a safety standard called IEC 62368-1, which means it’s safe for a lot of different tasks and doesn’t get too hot. To manage the drive on the PC, the device comes with a dedicated software called Samsung Magician that includes various features such as performance benchmarks, security functions, firmware updates, and real-time health status checks.
This drive works with different devices like Windows, macOS, phones, tablets, game consoles, and high-quality cameras. It also comes with both USB Type C-to-C and USB Type C-to-A cables in the package. You can plug the T9 SSD directly into an 8K or 12K high-resolution camera for smooth operation. The TurboWrite technology makes sure data transfers happen quickly. The T9 is designed with buffer sizes up to three times bigger than its rivals, making it especially good for content creators.
The Samsung Portable SSD T9 starts at ₹12,799 for the 1TB variant, going to up ₹33,599 for the 4TB variant. It will be available at all Samsung retail stores, leading consumer electronics stores, and across online platforms starting 9th October 2023. The T9 SSD comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
