Samsung launches its much-anticipated flagship S-series smartphone – Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra at an event held in San Francisco. All three devices come with brand-new camera architecture with various advanced camera features. Depending on the region these devices either powered by the Snapdragon 865 or Exynos 990 and available in 4G as well as 5G variants. Additionally, these are also the first devices to support both sub-6 and mmWave frequencies. Check out in detail below.
Samsung Galaxy S20
The Galaxy S20 is the base variant of the S20 series and comes with a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440×3200 pixels and offers 12GB of RAM and a 4,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. In the camera department, the Galaxy S20 gets a triple camera module on the rear that includes a 12-megapixel Ultra-wide camera, 12MP wide-angle camera, and a 64MP Telephoto lens. On the front, it has a 10MP in-screen camera and also includes an ultra-sonic in-display fingerprint scanner.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus
The Galaxy S20 Plus sports a slightly bigger 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and offers up to 12GB RAM and slightly bigger 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. Even though it includes the same rear camera setup compared to Galaxy S20, Samsung has provided an additional depth camera to capture the depth information. Rest all specifications including the processor, front camera are the same as the Galaxy S20.
Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
The Galaxy S20 Ultra is the high-end variant of the S20 series that comes with a 6.9-inch Super AMOLED display and equipped with a huge 5,000mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. It features Samsung’s largest 108-megapixel primary on the rear accompanied by a 48-megapixel telephoto camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a dedicated depth vision camera. The Galaxy S20 Ultra shift dynamically between a high-resolution 108MP mode and a 12MP mode using nona-binning technology that combines nine pixels into one at the sensor level. On the front side, it gets an upgraded 40-megapixel in-screen camera that supports various AI photo modes.
