Update: 8GB Variant Launch – 30th May: Samsung Galaxy M31 was first introduced in India on 25th Feb 2020 in two configurations – 6/64GB and 6/128GB Now, the brand has launched an 8GB/128GB variant at ₹19,999. The new 6GB variant also comes in two colors – Blue and Black and available to buy on Samsung eStore, Other online channels, and also through select offline retail stores across India starting 30th May 2020. Alongside a 6GB variant, the previously launched 6GB/64GB variant available at ₹16,999 and 6GB/128GB at ₹17,999.
Earlier: Phone Launch – 30th Feb: Just after announcing two new A-series smartphones – Galaxy A51 & Galaxy A71, Samsung expands its mid-range M-series lineup with the launch of Galaxy M31 in India. It is the successor of its first 6,000mAh battery smartphone Galaxy M30s which was introduced in India in September 2019. Coming to the specifications, the Galaxy M31 comes with the same display and processor which is present in the Galaxy M30s but with different front and rear cameras. Also, it houses the same 6,000mAh battery that can last long for up to 2 days.
Galaxy M31 comes with a 6.4-inch FullHD+ Super AMOLED display and powered by octa-core Exynos 9611 chipset and available in two RAM/Storage configurations – 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. In the camera part, the Galaxy M31 gets an upgraded Quad camera setup on the back which includes a 64MP f/1.8 Samsung GW1 sensor, an 8MP Ultra-wide camera, a 5MP Macro, and a 5MP depth camera. On the front, it comes with an upgraded 32MP sensor which is housed inside a U-shaped notch. Out of the box, M31 runs on the latest Android 10 with Samsung’s OneUi 2.0 on top.

The Samsung Galaxy M31 comes in two colors – Ocean Blue & Space Black and will be available at Amazon.in, Samsung.com and select retail stores from 5th March 2020. The 6GB/64GB variant priced at ₹15,999 and the top-end 6GB/128GB at ₹16,999. As an limited-time introductory offer, Samsung is also offering ₹1,000 off on both variants on Amazon.in, Samsung.com and select retail stores, which will take the effective price for Galaxy M31 to ₹14,999 for the 6/64GB ₹15,999 for the 6/128GB variant.

Aggressive pricing from Samsung. Most of the specs are the same as m30s. The only major change is the camera. Still good value for money smartphone.
