Update: India Launch – 4th June 2020 – Galaxy A31 was first introduced globally on 24th March and now Samsung has officially confirmed the availability in India. The Galaxy A31 comes in three colors – Prism Crush blue, Black, and White and will be available to buy across retail stores, Samsung Opera House, Samsung.com, and leading online portals at ₹21,999 for the 6/128 GB variant.
Earlier: Global Launch – 24th March 2020 -A few days after launching the Galaxy M21 in India, Samsung quietly expands its A-series lineup with the launch of Galaxy A31 with a Quad-camera. It sports a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with an Infinity-U notch and powered by the MediaTek Helio P65 octa-core chipset with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. It is offered in two configurations – 4/64GB and 6/128GB.
In the camera part, the Galaxy A31 comes with a quad-camera module on the rear that includes a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP Ultra-wide camera, 5MP depth camera, and also a 5MP dedicated Macro camera. The cameras are arranged in an L-shaped pattern on a rectangular block along with a LED flash. For selfies, you’ll get an upgraded 20MP f/2.2 lens housed inside the U-shaped notch. Other key things to notice are In-display fingerprint reader, Samsung Pay support, and a USB Type.-C port.
The Samsung Galaxy A31 comes in four color choices – Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, Prism Crush Red & Prism Crush White and will go on sale in select regions starting April 2020. Samsung hasn’t announced the pricing yet.
