Android 10 Update for ROG Phone 2 Started Rolling Out Globally [Changelog Inside]

The ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has started rolling out the much-awaited Android 10 update for its popular ROG Phone II. The latest update brings new enhancements and several additional features including Dark theme, Gesture Navigation, and improved privacy controls to ROG Phone II. Additionally, this update also includes several new system improvements and bug fixes for an improved gaming experience.

Furthermore, Asus has also confirmed that over 200 games now support ROG Phone II’s special hardware capabilities. Check out the list of games here. The ROG Phone 2 Android 10 update will be available from today via a firmware-over-the-air (FOTA or OTA) update that will be rolled out incrementally worldwide and broader availability in a few days.

The update size is about 1073.10MB with version number 17.0210.2001.60. The update has already started rolling out in few regions including India and you’ll receive the update notification once the update available on your device. For better results download the over high-speed WiFi network and also make sure the battery is at least 50%. Asus has also put up a warning on the download screen to Backup the Data before upgrading too Android 10.

Note: Once you update your device to Android 10 and if you plan to downgrade your device’s software version to Android 9.0 Pie by official firmware, it will erase all data from your device’s internal storage.

  • Some 3rd party apps may not be compatible with Android 10
  • Gestures on the Dark screen will turn off after the system update
