OPPO launches OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G, the successor of last year’s Reno4 Pro in India. The Reno5 Pro 5G sports a 6.5-inch 3D Borderless Sense Screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood is MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ CPU mated with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is also the first device in India, to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ CPU.
The OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G boasts a 4,350mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 Flash Charge that can charge up to 100% in just 30 minutes and provide up to 4 hours of video playback with just 5 minutes of charge. OPPO has already conducted an onsite 5G test on the Reno5 Pro 5G and the device downloaded a 1GB movie in just 11 seconds.
One of the key highlights of the OPPO Reno5 Pro 5G is its camera. The device comes with a 64MP rear quad-camera setup and a 32MP front camera. These cameras are further enhanced by the OPPO Full Dimension Fusion (FDF) Portrait Video System technology which is specially designed for portrait video effects. The two engines on the system, the Quality Enhancement Engine, and the Portrait Perception Engine help capture clear videos in any lighting condition with improved portrait effects.
The device also supports industry-first AI Highlight Video feature on both front and rear cameras. The AI Highlight Video feature automatically detects the ambient light in a scene and improves the video quality by applying OPPO’s Ultra Night Video and Live HDR Algorithms. In the dark environments, Ultra Night Video brightens the scene, while detection of backlit scenes engages Live HDR Algorithms to reduce overexposed areas. It will be available to buy starting January 22nd, 2021 across all mainline retailers across India as well on Flipkart. OPPO India is also providing an additional 120 GB of cloud service for 12 months which is applicable from the date of purchase. The free storage can be used together with paid storage and will last for 12 months. The cloud service will be activated after the consumer gets the free storage.
