OnePlus announces OnePlus 9 Series, the successor of last year’s OnePlus 8 Series at a Global launch event. It includes three devices – OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, and OnePlus 9R. All three devices come with an all-new design, Snapdragon 5G chipset, an Improved camera, and also Warp Charge 65T. Check out all the details below.
The OnePlus 9 Pro sports a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED 120Hz QHD+ display and powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. In the camera part, the device is backed by a quad-camera setup that includes a 48MP main camera supported by a 50MP ultra-wide camera, an 8MP telephoto camera with OIS, and a dedicated 2MP monochrome camera. On the front, the device gets a 16MP f/2.4 Sony IMX471 housed inside a display cutout.
The OnePlus 9 Pro’s Fluid Display 2.0 features LTPO technology which is used in high-end OLED displays, and lightning-fast touch response for gaming. It enables the OnePlus 9 Pro’s display to automatically adjust the refresh rate from 120Hz all the way down to 1Hz to match the current user scenario, resulting in significantly lower power consumption.
Hyper Touch technology also gives a much faster response time when playing certain games by increasing the syncing speed between the processor and display to 360 Hz – up to six-times faster than before. Additionally, the display earned an A+ rating from DisplayMate.
The OnePlus 9 comes with a slightly smaller 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED 120Hz Full HD+ display and powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 mobile platform. In the camera part, the device is backed by a triple-camera setup (instead of a Quad-camera on the pro variant) that includes a 48MP main camera supported by a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a dedicated 2MP monochrome camera. On the front, the device is equipped with the same 16MP f/2.4 sensor present on the 9 Pro variant.
Both OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro supports Warp Charge 65T that delivers a day’s power in just 15 minutes – and can charge from 1-100% in just 29 minutes. Additionally, the OnePlus 9 Pro supports Warp Charge 50 Wireless which is OnePlus’ fastest-ever wireless charging technology and also one of the fastest solutions in the industry. Warp Charge 50 Wireless charges the device from 1-100% in just 43 minutes.
OnePlus 9 Pro can charge just as quickly both horizontally and vertically. The power adapter included in the box can also be used to charge non-OnePlus devices including laptops, tablets, and more up to 45W using USB PD or PPS. Along with the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, OnePlus also announced the OnePlus 9R, an exclusive addition to the Indian market. It comes with the same 6.55-inch Fluid AMOLED 120Hz Full HD+ display which is present on the OnePlus 9 and fuelled by the Snapdragon 870 CPU. For an improved gaming experience, the OnePlus 9R is backed by a multi-layer cooling system and 240Hz touch sampling rate for up to 5 fingers gameplay.
It boasts a quad-camera setup that includes a 48MP Sony IMX586 main camera, a 16MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro, and a dedicated 2MP monochrome camera. The front camera has the same 16MP Sony IMX471 which is present on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. It also supports Warp Charge 65 that charges the device from 1-100% in just 29 minutes.
