OKWU is a new Indian startup launches its first smartphone OKWU Pi for ₹ 5,999. It’s a Dual camera smartphone comes with a concealed body with a metal finish and also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
It sports a 5″ HD display and powered by 1.2 GHz MediaTek Quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. There’s an 8GB onboard storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. It weighs about 6.5 gram and has the thickness of 6.5mm.
The rear camera of the smartphone has an 8MP & 2MP dual camera setup with LED flash and 3MP front camera. In the Dual camera setup, the 8MP camera takes care of the color and the 2MP camera will provide increased light and sharpness. Other specifications include the 2000mAh non-removable battery, FM Radio, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Dual SIM, VoLTE and Android Marshmallow. It also features a Hi-Fi NxP audio processor to provide best surround sound effect.
OKWU has also introduced a Bluetooth accessory called U-Tag. You need to tag this to your belongings or to any other devices. The U-Tag can be tracked using your phone. The smartphone also uploads the tag location to the server to prevent theft and locate the misplaced device.
OKWU Pi priced at ₹ 5,999 and available in Gold and Rose Gold color options. You can pre-order this device from company’s official website. U-Tag accessory is priced at ₹ 990.
