Wireless Mouse is one of the must-have accessories for every user who uses a laptop for an extended period of time. When it comes to the selection of mouse, there are hundreds of options with price starts as low as ₹350. So it will become very hard to select the mouse unless you have a specific requirement. Logitech has recently launched a new wireless mouse called Pebble M350 in India with a premium price tag of ₹1,995. Do you think it justifies its price? What’s special in Logitech Pebble? Logitech Pebble M350 is a slim, Minimalist and modern wireless mouse that looks almost like a Pebble. It comes in a Small rectangular box which includes Mouse (placed inside the plastic casing), USB Receiver, AA Battery, and a couple of leaflets. The most highlighting part of the Pebble is its design. It looks very premium, elegant and fits naturally in the palm of your hand. The sides of the mouse are provided with Soft Rubber kind of material for comfortable gripping.
Dual Connectivity
In general, most of the Wireless Mouse comes with a Tiny USB Adapter that instantly pairs the Mouse with a Computer or a Laptop once you plug it to the USB Port. Without the adapter, you’ll not be able to use the Mouse. But, when it comes to Pebble, you’ll get two connectivity options. You can use the supplied USB Adapter to pair the mouse just like others, else, use the built-in Bluetooth mode to connect it to your laptop or a Bluetooth-enabled PC.
Why Bluetooth mode and how it helps?. Both connectivity modes work almost the same but there is a key advantage if your mouse supports Dual connectivity. You can easily switch between two computers (Ex: Laptop and Desktop) with a press of a button. Simply plug the adapter to your Desktop USB port and pair the Pebble with your laptop using Bluetooth. Even Logitech has made it easy to switch between two modes.
The Pebble M350 is equipped with a tiny button at the bottom that allows you to instantly switch between two modes. Simply press the button and you are done. Switching happens in less than a second and the LED indicator clearly tells you the status of the mouse when you turn the mouse upside down. Blue indicates that the mouse is in Bluetooth mode and the Green indicates that the mouse is paired with the adapter.
The Pebble M350 comes with a 1000dpi high-precision optical sensor with invisible light. I’ve been using the Pebble for the past a few days and sensitivity is simply Amazing. There are no drop-offs or lags even if you use it for a longer period of time. It works properly on the flat wooden surface, Mousepads, Marble and also on your body. You can even use it while lying down on your bed as it works flawlessly on the bed covers too.
The body of the mouse is made up of premium plastic that has a matte finish and slightly angled for ergonomic comfort. It’s a three-button mouse wherein the scroller also acts a button. The scroller button can be used to close the Browser tabs or Open the bookmarks in a new browser window. The On/Off button is also easy to reach and can be operated with a soft push. Both sides of the mouse are symmetrical and can be used by either hand.
Opening up the top over will give access to the Battery and Adapter. This mouse uses a single AA sized battery and there is also a dedicated slot to keep the USB adapter. There is no need to align the cover as the built-in magnets automatically position the cover once you place it on the top. According to Logitech, a new battery can run upto 18-moths depending on how frequent you use it. This mouse also supports Auto-sleep mode that automatically puts the mouse into a battery-saving mode when the mouse is standby or not in use.
One of the key highlights of the Pebble is the noiseless operation. Both buttons are specially designed for noiseless operation and there is a drastic reduction in the click sound (about 43db). You’ll easily make out if you compare it with any entry-level mouse. It has a low-noise, super-responsive mechanical scroller wheel that identifies even a very small movement that helps a lot when you scroll through the long webpages. You can quickly browse any webpage, directory, or scroll through your thousands of photos at your own speed. The scroller wheel is also specially designed for noiseless operation.

My Opinion – Design is a unique selling point of the Logitech Pebble M350. Apart from the premium design, Pebble also comes with multiple useful features such as Dual connectivity and Low-noise buttons. Due to its ergonomics, this mouse is easier to hold and can be used continuously for hours without any strain. It is also compact, lightweight so that it could be carried anywhere along with you. It stands out in almost all aspects including the Design, Ergonomics, Comfort, Battery Life and also Connectivity. If you want a premium, good looking mouse and would like to work in a silent environment, this mouse for you. It is also highly recommended if you have a Laptop and a Desktop PC on the same desk so that you can get your work done on both the machines using a single mouse. Make a note that, Logitech Pebble is a general-purpose mouse and note recommended for gamers.
