Today, At a special event Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, and Managing Director of Reliance Industries announced a new Jio “Happy New Year” offer to new as well as existing subscribers. Under this offer, those who are getting a new Jio SIM December 4th onwards will get Free Calls, Data, SMS, Jio Apps and other Jio services until March 2017. Under this offer, Data is capped at 1 GB, means you can use the Data at higher speeds till 1GB per day and later speed will be reduced to 128kbps. Existing Jio users will be under “Jio Welcome Offer” until 31st December and will be automatically migrated to Happy New Year offer on 1st January till March 2017.

Yes. Jio is offering Data top-up packs for subscribers who wish to use additional data with regular (High) speed. Currently, there are two data packs. Recharge with ₹ 51 to get 1 GB data valid for 1 day. Recharge with ₹ 301 to get 6 GB data valid for 28 days.
4. Why Jio reduced 4GB data limit to 1GB per day?
As per Jio, 20% of the users will use excess data and this is creating congestion and poor user experience among other users. So Fair Usage policy of 1GB per day will provide better and similar speed to everyone.
5. Can I get 2 Jio SIM on a Single 4G device?
No. You are allowed to take only 1 Jio SIM per 4G device.
6. Do I still need the code to get the Jio SIM?
Yes. You need to generate the code using MyJio app from a 4G enabled smartphone to get the Jio SIM.
