Itel’s global-first Android 14 Go Edition smartphone, the itel P55T, is now available to buy in India. The announcement was made during the launch of the newly redesigned power-series phones, itel P55 (review) and itel P55 Plus, on February 2, 2024. The itel P55T is the world’s first smartphone to feature Android 14 Go Edition, and itel collaborated with Google for this release. This smartphone will be available for purchase through retail stores across India, starting from 11th March 2024. You can check out our full review here.
The itel P55T boasts a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS display with a 90Hz screen refresh rate, driven by the UniSoc T606 chipset. With 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, it also offers a dedicated microSD card slot supporting up to 1TB. The camera setup includes a dual rear system with a 50MP main camera, an AI sensor, and an 8MP front camera. Powered by a 6,000mAh battery, the itel P55T supports 18W charging and features a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Connectivity options include 5GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB-C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The itel P55T is priced at ₹7,999 and comes in three color options: Astral Black, Astral Gold, and Astral Purple. It is currently available in Astral Black and Astral Gold, while the Astral Purple variant will be released soon. It’s worth noting that the Itel P55T is manufactured in India as part of the Make-in-India initiative.
