Huawei Y9s is a slightly upgraded variant of Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 which was introduced in India in August 2019. One of the major changes in the Y9s compared to Y9 Prime is the improved primary rear camera. Rest all specifications are almost identical in both of the devices. The Huawei Y9s sports a 6.5-inch notch-less display and powered by the brand’s own octa-core Kirin 710F Chipset with a 4,000mAh battery. This device offers 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage and runs on the Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9.1.
In the camera part, the device gets a 16MP AI pop-up front camera that pops out when you open the camera app and closes automatically once done. On the rear, Y9s has a triple camera array that comprises of an upgraded 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor stacked vertically with an LED flash. The Huawei Y9s supports Google Play services so it comes preloaded with Google Play Store.
