Honor launches HONOR 30S, the first 5G smartphone in Honor’s 2020 lineup and also the first smartphone to feature new Kirin 820 SoC. It flaunts a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 2400×1800 pixels and equipped with an extremely narrow side-mounted fingerprint reader. The device is backed by a fast-charge supported 4,000mAh battery which is certified by TUV Rheinland as a standard 40W fast charging product and can be charged from 0 to 70% in just 30 minutes.
As stated earlier, the Honor 30S comes with an all-new Kirin 820 CPU that uses one large core (based on Cortex-A76), three medium cores (based on Cortex-A76), and four small cores (based on Cortex-A55) with a frequency of up to 2.36GHz. According to the brand, the new Mali-G57 MC6 is optimized for higher performance and better energy efficiency. There are two variants to choose from – 8/128GB and 8/256GB.
In terms of camera, the Honor 30S includes a Quad-camera setup on the rear side that includes a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera arranged in an L-shaped pattern. For selfies, you’ll get a 16MP snapper housed inside a display cutout on the top left of the display.
