GoPro Launches ‘Quik’ App: Unlimited Cloud Backup, Royalty-free Tracks, Exclusive Filters

GoPro launches “Quik app“, the replacement of its existing GoPro App on Google Play and App Store. Quik app is available for iOS and Android and supports photos & videos taken from any smartphone or camera, including GoPros and DSLRs. Quik also features a suite of photo editing tools in case if you prefer to edit your photos & videos.

The GoPro Quik video editor is free to download and use on a trial basis. Those who want to unlock the app’s full capabilities can subscribe for ₹499/year or ₹99/month. This will include unlimited cloud backup of your imported photos & videos at their original quality when the backup feature is released later this year.

Quik App Features

  • Unlimited importing of photos & videos: Import photos and videos from any phone or camera, including GoPros and DSLRs.
  • Unlimited cloud backup: Every photo & video posted on the Quik mural feed will be backed up at its original quality. This feature available later this year.
  • Photo editing tools: Adjust exposure contrast, color, vibrancy, Single & multi-clip video editing, add text, stickers, etc.
  • Automatic video creation: Create music-synced videos by selecting the photos & videos you want to include along with a song from the included library or your own
  • New video speed tool: Make videos faster or slower and add super slo-mo and freeze frame segments at multiple points within a single video clip
  • GoPro-exclusive Filters: Snow, desert, water, etc.
  • Premium video editing themes
  • Extract photo still images from your videos
  • Post directly to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
  • New GoPro royalty-free tracks

The app is already live in the Google Play and App Store. New users can directly download the app from the respective app stores, and the existing GoPro app users will see their app update upon installation. Existing users’ photos and videos will transfer from the old GoPro app to the new Quik app upon install, and any cloud-based footage will remain accessible.

To celebrate Quik’s launch, GoPro is also running the “Quik Awards Challenge” to award the best Quik edits. To participate, submit your best edit made with the Quik app to GoPro.com/Awards.
