A month after releasing the one-to-one video calling app Duo, Today Google has launched its much-anticipated smart messaging app Allo. Surprisingly Google begins the rollout from India. Same as Duo, Allo is also linked to your mobile number. Your Google account access is needed for Google Assistant.

Allo

You can disable it from settings. The major highlight of this app is ‘Smart Reply’, where you don’t need to type a word. Smart reply suggests responses to texts and images you received. The major disadvantage is that you cannot back up chats. Google might provide this feature in upcoming updates.

Note: You cannot use Allo with the same number on two different devices else you will lose all your chat logs.
