Along with the new MacBook Air with Magic Keyboard, Apple also launches updated iPad Pro with LiDAR Scanner, Dual Camera and Trackpad Support. The New iPad Pro features an edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display and offered in both 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. Both variants are powered by the ProMotion technology that automatically adjusts the display refresh rate up to 120 Hz for ultra-smooth scrolling and responsiveness.
The Apple iPad Pro is powered by the new A12Z Bionic chip designed especially to perform heavy tasks such as editing 4K videos, designing 3D models, etc. Apple claims that the new eight-core GPU in the A12Z Bionic, along with an enhanced thermal architecture and tuned performance controllers, gives iPad Pro the highest performance ever in an iPad. Coming to the camera, for the first time, Apple has also provided the iPad Pro with Dual camera setup. The camera setup on the iPad Pro includes a primary 12MP Wide camera for capturing high-quality photos & record 4K videos and a secondary 10MP Ultra-wide camera for a wider field of view.
One of the key highlights of the new iPad Pro is the breakthrough LiDAR Scanner. According to Apple, the LiDAR Scanner measures the distance to surrounding objects up to 5 meters away and operates at the photon level at nano-second speeds. The LiDAR Scanner also improves the Measure app, making it faster and easier to automatically calculate someone’s height, while helpful vertical and edge guides automatically appear to let users more quickly and accurately measure objects.
Another major improvement to the iPad Pro is Trackpad support. With iPadOS 13.4, Apple brings trackpad support to the iPad, giving customers an all-new way to interact with their iPad. As users move their fingers across the trackpad, the pointer transforms to highlight user interface elements. Multi-Touch gestures on the trackpad also make it fast & easy to navigate the entire system.

iPadOS 13.4 with trackpad support will be available on 24th March 2020 as a free software update for all iPad Pro models, iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, and iPad mini 4 and later. Trackpad support will be available on any iPad running iPadOS 13.4, and work with Apple’s Magic Mouse 2, Magic Trackpad 2 and the Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro.
