Amazon launches next-generation Fire TV Stick and an all new Fire TV Stick Lite, along with a Redesigned User Experience in India. The new Fire TV Sticks are 50% more powerful than previous generation and support full HD streaming with HDR. Check out all details and comparisons below.

New Fire TV Stick
The all-new Fire TV Stick is powered by the 1.7 GHz quad-core CPU and is about 50% faster and also consumes 50% less power than the previous generation. It supports streaming in 1080p at 60fps with HDR compatibility and equipped with dual-band, dual-antenna WiFi (5GHz) for more stable streaming and fewer dropped connections. For better audio experience it also supports Dolby Atmos and comes bundled with Alexa Voice Remote with dedicated power, volume, and mute buttons for easy control of TVs, soundbars, and A/V receivers.

Fire TV Stick Lite
Just like New Fire TV Stick, the Fire TV Stick Lite is also 50% more powerful than the previous generation Fire TV Stick, supports full HD streaming with HDR but lacks Dolby ATMOS support. Additionally, it comes with a Fire TV Stick Lite remote controller that misses out the dedicated power button, volume controls, and also mute button which is found on the New Fire TV Stick remote.

Redesigned Fire TV Stick User Experience
Along with the New Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite, Amazon also announces redesigned user interface for an intuitive, simple, and customized experience. The new user interface now includes the Main Menu at the center of the screen to easily find the content you want. You can now jump into your favorite streaming service directly, or scroll over supported apps to quickly peek at what’s inside and begin playback.
It also comes with a brand new Find experience to discover movies, TV shows etc. with broad and specific searches based on genre (e.g. comedies, action), helpful categories (e.g. free, sports, Live TV), and more. Other improvements include improved voice controls, Dedicated Alexa Explore destination, User profiles for up to six members with automatic user profile switch using voice recognition.
The Fire TV Stick (2020) is priced at ₹3,999 while the Fire TV Stick Lite is priced at ₹2,999. Both devices are already available to Pre-order on Amazon.in. Shipping begins from 15th October, 2020. The redesigned Fire TV experience will begin rolling out globally later this year.
