After announcing the price cut for Redmi 6 Pro, Xiaomi announces a permanent price cut for its entry-level Redmi 6 in India. Starting 11th January 2019, the Redmi 6 3GB/32GB variant will be available at ₹7,999 after ₹1,000 price cut and the 3GB/64GB variant will be available at ₹8,999 after ₹1,500 price cut. The New prices are applicable across Mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Home as well as also offline retail stores across India.
To recall, the Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor with a non-removable 3,000mAh battery. It supports Face Unlock, Dual SIM, Dual 4G VoLTE and also equipped with a dedicated MicroSD tray. In the camera department, this device gets a 12MP+5MP Dual camera setup on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front that supports AI portraits. The Redmi 6 has a polycarbonate back with a brushed metallic finish and also equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the rear side.
