Motorola announces 6th generation G series smartphones – Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play at an event held in Brazil. All three smartphones are powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Mobile Platform and sport an 18:9 display. These devices are equipped with a multi-function fingerprint scanner and boot on Android Oreo out of the box. Depending on the region, it will be available in both Single as well as Dual SIM configurations. The Moto G6 series also support Moto enhancements such as Moto Display, Night Display, Attentive display, Moto voice, Quick gestures etc
Moto G6
The Moto G6 boasts a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and fuelled by the 1.8GHz Snapdragon 450 octa-core CPU with a turbo-powered 3000mAh battery. It will be offered in two RAM and storage combinations – 3GB RAM/32GB Storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB Storage. It has a dual camera setup on the rear side (12MP + 5MP) and an 8MP camera on the front with selfie flash. It also comes pre-loaded with an advanced imaging software to take studio quality portraits, artistic black and white shots etc. It supports Face Unlock and the fingerprint scanner is embedded in the menu button. The Moto G6 is available to buy in Brazil starting 19th April followed by Mexico. It will roll out to other countries in the coming months including Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America with a starting MSRP of $249 USD (Approx. ₹16,500).

Moto G6 Plus
It is the high-end variant of Moto G6 series equipped with a slightly bigger 5.9-inch 18:9 display and powered by the high-powered Snapdragon 630 octa-core processor with 3200mAh battery. The G6 Plus comes in two variants – 4GB RAM & 6GB RAM with 64GB storage on both. For imaging, the rear camera has a 12MP+5MP dual camera setup and an 8MP camera on the front. Additionally, it supports 4K video recording, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, and 5GHz WiFi ac. It will be available Brazil from April 19 followed by next week in Mexico. Launch in various countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, and Latin America in the coming months at a starting MSRP of €299 EUR (Approx. ₹19,800).

Moto G6 Play is the entry-level variant of G6 series, comes with 5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio which is same as the Moto G6 but has a single camera setup on the rear side. It is powered by the octa-core Snapdragon 427 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz with a 4000mAh battery. It is offered in two configurations – 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM with 32GB storage on both. The rear camera has a 13MP sensor with LED flash and the front camera has an 8MP with LED flash. The fingerprint scanner is placed just below the rear camera module with a Shiny Moto logo. The Moto G6 Play is available to buy starting 19th April in Brazil followed by a week in Mexico.
