Along with the Redmi 6, Xiaomi has also announced Redmi 6A, the successor of last years Redmi 5A. It’s an entry-level smartphone comes with the same 5.45-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core processor with a 3,000mAh battery. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 has 2GB RAM, 16GB Storage and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9. Similar to Redmi 6, it also houses a Hybrid SIM tray and supports microSD up to 256GB. Even though it supports AI Face Unlock lacks a fingerprint scanner.
For photography, it has a single 13MP camera instead of a dual camera setup and a 5MP front camera that supports portrait mode. The various other camera modes supported are Smart beauty, Night enhancement, HDR, Continuous shooting, Street shot etc. This smartphone is also powered by the A.I. technology with various features such as AI Smart objects, AI Intelligent Translation, AI Voice Assistant etc.
The Redmi 6A is offered in four colors – Black, Gold, Blue & Rose Gold and available to buy in China at 599 yuan (Approx. ₹6,400).
