Redmi 6A, the successor of last years Redmi 5A is an entry-level smartphone comes with a 5.45-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core processor with a 3,000mAh battery that easily lasts long a day. In India, the Redmi 6A is offered in two configurations – 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB Storage. Similar to Redmi 6, it also houses a dedicated MicroSD slot and supports Dual VoLTE.
For photography, it has a single 13MP camera and a 5MP front camera that supports portrait mode, Beautification, etc. The various other camera modes supported are Low light photo enhancement, Burst mode, Continuous shooting, Scene selection, etc. This smartphone supports AI Face unlock but lacks a Fingerprint scanner.
The Redmi 6A is offered in four colors – Blue, Gold, Black and Rose Gold and available to buy exclusively via Amazon.in, Mi.com starting 19th September 2018. The 2GB/16GB variant priced at ₹5,999 and the 3GB/32GB variant at ₹6,999. Starting 12th January 2019 the Redmi 6A will go on Open Sale in India across Mi.com, Amazon.in and also through Mi Homes.
