Xiaomi announces Mi 6X, the successor of Mi 5X which was launched in July 2016. It sports a 5.99-inch Full-Screen display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and fuelled by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform with a 3010mAh battery that supports Quick Charge 3.0. It is offered in two configurations – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 64GB or 128GB storage. It’s a Dual SIM 4G device runs on MIUI 9.5 based on the Android 8.1 Oreo and supports Dual VoLTE. In terms of design, Mi 6X flaunts a premium metal unibody with the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Coming to the camera, the rear camera has a Dual camera setup that includes a 20MP Sony-made primary sensor and a secondary 12MP Sony sensor with LED flash. The rear camera is pre-loaded with various A.I. features such as Bokeh, Portrait, 206 scene recognition, AI smart objects, AI business card recognition, AI smart translation, AI smart currency conversion etc. The front camera also has a Sony-made 20MP sensor with LED flash and supports Full HD video recording, AI Background Bokeh, AI Scene Recognition, AI Smart Beauty 4.0 etc. Furthermore, the rear camera can shoot 4K videos as well as 720p slow-motion videos. For connectivity, it includes Dual-band 5GHz WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and Reversible Type-C Port. There is no 3.5mm Audio Jack on Mi 6X.
The Xiaomi Mi 6X is sold in five colors – Black, Red, Blue, Gold & Rose Gold and available to buy in China starting 27th April 2018. The 4GB/64GB variant is priced at 1599 yuan (Approx. ₹16,900), 6GB/64GB at 1799 yuan (Approx. ₹19,100) and the 6GB/128GB at 1999 yuan (Approx. ₹21,200).
