Wings Vibe Design

Just like most of the truly wireless earbuds (TWS), Wings Vibe Earbuds comes with a compact charging case that has a smooth matte finish. Opening the lid will give you access to two earbuds securely positioned inside the dedicated slots provided. Make a note that the left earbud should be placed in the left slot while the right bud in the right slot. You can find the L and R marking on the bottom end of the earbuds. Both earbuds are magnetically connected to their respective slots and don’t fall down even if you face the charging case downwards.

With respect to the price it is offered, the quality of the case is very good, but the lid is kind of flimsy. The lid comes with a plastic lock and also there is a noticeable locking sound. Even though it misses out on the magnets you can easily open the lid with a flick of a finger. It also supports Auto On and Off. There are no additional buttons to turn on or turn off these earbuds. These turn on automatically when you remove them from the case and turn off when you put them back inside the case. Also, you’ll get voice feedback when these earbuds connect to your phone or laptop.

Both earbuds firmly sit inside the slots provided and don’t make any kind of noise when you shake the charging case. A USB type-c port is placed on the rear bottom that allows you to charge the charging case. Wings has also provided a good quality USB Type-C charging cable inside the package but you’ll have to use your existing power adapter to charge the device.

Furthermore, these earbuds are IPX5 certified and provide protection from sweat, splash, and spills. The charging case automatically charges both earbuds once you place them inside the case and close the lid. The LED light on the earbud turns RED indicated the bud is charging inside the case and No LED lights indicate the bud is fully charged. Once you remove the buds from the case both RED and White lights start blinking indicating earbuds entered into pairing mode and ready to connect to your phone or laptop.

There are four LED indicators placed on the front side of the case that show the battery levels of the charging case. Once you open the flap and remove the buds from the case, the LED indicators show the battery level.

  • 0-25% – 1st LED glow.
  • 25-50% – 1st and 2nd LED glow.
  • 50-75% – 1st, 2nd, and 3rd LED glow.
  • 100% – All LED lights glow indicates fully charged battery.

Note: Wings recommends a maximum 5V output power adapter to charge the charging case. More than 5V may damage and affect battery life. Additionally, you can also charge the charging case using your laptop, PC, or power bank.

Both earbuds are fitted with a 6mm driver for an improved audio experience and dual microphones (one microphone on each) for an enhanced voice calling experience. These in-ear type earbuds are lightweight, made out of high-quality plastic, and fits comfortably in the ear. These also provide a good amount of passive noise cancellation which is enough to filter out the outside noise. I had used these earbuds while walking, jogging, and also during workouts and never experienced any kind of irritation or discomfort.

These also support Siri and Google Assistant and you can trigger it by triple tapping. Once you triple tap on any earbud, you’ll hear a beep sound that indicates the voice assistant is active and ready to receive your commands. During my testing, I was able to use the Voice Assistant on OnePlus Nord, OPPO F17 Pro (review), Redmi 9 Power, & iPhone 12 without any issues and all phones received the voice input instantly.

The ear tips are made out of premium material and hold the buds firmly in the ear. Due to the ergonomic design, these earbuds don’t easily slip from the ear especially when you are jogging, walking, or riding a bike with a helmet. Wings has provided four ear tips including the one which comes attached to the earbuds. These are more than enough to easily find a great fit for your ear.

Wings Vibe Connectivity

Wings Vibe Earbuds are powered by Bluetooth 5.0 and support Instant pairing. Once you connect these buds to a compatible device like a smartphone, tablet, etc., no need to select the device in Bluetooth Settings next time when you connect to the same device. All you need to do is, turn on the Bluetooth on your phone, take out the bud(s) from the charging case and the buds instantly connect to your device. Connectivity is strong and you can keep the phone in one place and move around (about 10 meters from the phone) without losing the connection.

During my testing, I have not experienced any connectivity issues such as low latency, lag, or connection drop. The only thing I missed is the Dual Pairing. Unlike Wings Elevate (review), the Wings Vibe doesn’t support Dual pairing. So, you cannot use these earbuds with two devices at the same time. For example, Wings Vibe is connected to your phone and you want to use it with your laptop. In such a case, you’ll have to disconnect it from your phone, and then, connect it to your laptop. Else, your laptop doesn’t detect as these earbuds are already connected to a different device.

You can even check the Battery levels right from the Bluetooth settings and also set the permissions for Phone audio, Media audio, and Contact sharing from the Bluetooth settings itself. The connecting process is straightforward and you hardly need 10 seconds to connect to any compatible device.

Wings Vibe Performance

Wings Vibe comes with 6mm neodymium drivers and produces decent and balanced sound output. The bass is punchy but not heavy and also never dominates at any volume level. The lows, mids, and highs are very well managed by the Wings Vibe. The Vocals are clear and you’ll not experience any distortion at higher volume levels. Even Instrument separation is good.

I tested the earphones with various genres of music and the music output is very good. The sound output is very well balanced and you’ll get good bass with clear mids and highs. Also, I have not experienced any audio delay while streaming videos on YouTube and Prime Video. These earbuds lack low-latency mode and you’ll experience a slight delay during multiplayer gaming with gaming titles such as Call of Duty, Fortnite, Free Fire, etc.

Voice calls and video calls made through Wings Vibe are clear and the voice output is also above average due to the Dual microphones. I have not experienced any lag during voice or video calls but these are quite sensitive to wind noise due to the lack of a noise cancellation feature. Indoor voice call quality is very excellent and earbuds were able to filter out the noise coming from the Fan or AC. Overall, the voice quality is good and more than enough for day-to-day usage.

Wings Vibe Mono Mode: You can use Wings Vibe in either Stereo or Mono mode. If you want to use Mono mode, simply take out any One earbud from the case, pair it with your device to start using it in mono mode. At any time, if you want to switch to Stereo mode, simply take out another earbud from the case and it auto connect & switch to stereo mode without any manual setting or pressing the button.

Wings Vibe Battery Life

These earbuds are fitted with a 40mAh battery on each and a 430mAh battery on the charging case. According to Wings, you’ll get about 6 hours of continuous music with earbuds and an additional 16 hours of music with the fully charged charging case. During my testing, I got around 5.2 hours of music playback (medium volume level – 40 to 60%) with earbuds and approximately 14 hours of playtime with the charging case. You need about 120 minutes to fully charge the case using the standard 5V power adapter.

Wings Vibe Opinion

Indian Audio market is flooded with affordable True Wireless Earphone with prices starting from as low as ₹799. The Wings Vibe comes under the ₹2,000 category and competes with many other devices. These earphones are not the best in the segment but come with enough features to justify their pricing. The audio quality is above average which is more than enough for day-to-day regular usage. As stated earlier, these might not please the bass heads but produces a balanced output with punchy bass.

The best part is the Comfort. These earbuds fit in very well and don’t fall easily. Coming to the battery, you can expect about 5 hours of continuous music along with fully charged earbuds and an additional 15 hours of music with a charging case which is excellent and one of the key reasons to consider these earbuds in its price segment.

With Balanced sound, IPX5 rating, Lightweight ergonomic design, USB Type-C charging, and also the excellent battery life will make these one of the best TWS earbuds under ₹2,000. In addition to these features, you’ll also get a hassle-free replacement warranty. So, if you are looking for entry-level TWS earbuds with Balance sound, clear voice calls, Light-weight design, and good battery life, Wings Vibe is an excellent choice and you’ll not be disappointed for sure. These pair of earbuds are not for those people who love heavy bass.
