Vodafone today announces the launch of VoLTE service across Kolkata. Vodafone 4G customers can use the VoLTE (Voice over LTE) for no additional charges and all calls will be billed as per existing plan. With Vodafone VoLTE you can make HD quality voice calls with lesser call connect time. You can also make voice calls and use 4G data at the same time. Vodafone has already launched VoLTE service in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra & Goa, Haryana, Kerala, Chennai, UP East, UP West, Karnataka, and Punjab. This service will be rolled out across the country in a phased manner over the next few months.
How do I use Vodafone VoLTE?
- You should have a VoLTE enabled smartphone
- SMS 4G CHECK to 199 to know if your handset is Vodafone VoLTE compatible or not
- Ensure that your handset has been upgraded with the latest software. To check the updates manually, Go to settings -> About -> Software Updates -> Check for updates. Download and install the update if available
- You need a 4G SIM to use VoLTE service. Visit nearby Vodafone store if you don’t have
- If you have a Dual SIM handset, Vodafone SIM should be inserted in the 1st SIM slot with data capability and network mode set as 4G/3G/2G or Auto
- For Android users, HD or VoLTE icon will be shown on the top bar of the screen
Only the below-mentioned smartphones are compatible with Vodafone VoLTE and it will be made available to all other VoLTE enabled smartphones in the coming days.
