Chinese smartphone maker Vivo announces a new selfie-centric smartphone Vivo V5 in India for ₹ 17,980. It sports a metal body with a front mounted fingerprint scanner. It’s a dual SIM 4G device support VoLTE and also TDD Band 40.
The Vivo V5 sports a 5.5″ display with the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by MediaTek processors clocked at 1.5 GHz and 4GB of RAM. As it features a hybrid slot, the secondary slot accepts either a Nano SIM or a microSD card. It packs a 3000mAh non-removable battery, 32GB in device storage and runs on Funtouch OS 2.6 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
20MP Perfect Selfie Camera
Vivo V5 is the first smartphone in the world to have a 20MP perfect selfie camera. It also features a moonlight flash which creates the lighting effect for perfect selfies. The Fingerprint scanner is capable of unlocking the smartphone just in 0.2 seconds.
