Vivo U1 with 6.22-inch Waterdrop Display, Dual Rear Cameras, Face Unlock, 4G VoLTE Announced

Vivo announces a new U-Series smartphone line-up with the launch of Vivo U1 in China. The specifications of Vivo U1 is almost the same as the Vivo Y91 which was introduced in India in January 2019. The key difference between both devices is the Processor. The Vivo U1 is powered by the Snapdragon 439 Mobile Platform wherein the Vivo Y91 has the MediaTek Helio P22. The Vivo U1 comes in three RAM/Storage configurations – 3GB/32GB, 3GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB.

The Vivo U1 boasts a 6.22-inch HD+ Waterdrop display and equipped with a non-removable 4,030mAh battery. For photography, it has a vertically positioned 13MP + 2MP AI dual camera setup on the rear and an 8MP camera on the front. The camera also supports various camera modes such as AI Beauty, AR mode, Smart Portrait, Face Beauty, Slow-motion, Time-lapse etc. Apart from the Face unlock, this device is also fitted with a fingerprint scanner which is mounted on the rear-side of the device. Other key features of Vivo U1 are Dual 4G, VoLTE, Smart Split, Game Mode, Eye protection, Simple mode, and Jovi Smart assistant etc.

The Vivo U1 comes in three color options – Starry Black, Purple, & Aurora Red and available to purchase via Vivo e-Shop in China. The 3GB/32GB variant priced at 799 yuan (Approx. ₹8,400), 3GB/64GB at 999 yuan (Approx. ₹10,500) and the top-end 4GB/64GB at 1,199 yuan (Approx. ₹12,600).
