Samsung has announced two Galaxy A series smartphone namely Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+ with 18.5:9 Infinity display. Even though both smartphones look identical, both come with different set of specification including the Display size, Rear camera, and Battery capacity. Both devices equipped with LED flash on the front and ships with Android Oreo out of the box. Apart from the fingerprint scanner on the rear side, both smartphones support Face Recognition technology to unlock the smartphone.
The Galaxy A6 sports a 5.6-inch HD+ display and powered by the Exynos 7870 CPU with 3,000mAh battery wherein the A6+ has a 6.0-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display and powered by the Snapdragon 450 Octa-core CPU with a slightly bigger 3,500mAh battery. Both A6 and A6+ are offered in two configurations – 3GB RAM / 32GB Storage and 4GB RAM / 64GB Storage. Other key highlights are Dolby Atmos optimized audio, Always-on-display (A6+ only), App pair, Samsung Pay, Bixby Vision, Home, and Reminder.
Coming to the camera, the Galaxy A6 has a 16MP sensor on both front and the rear side with LED flash on both. The A6+ has a dual camera setup on the rear side that includes a primary 16MP sensor and a secondary 5MP sensor. The front camera on the A6+ has a 24MP sensor and also has a LED flash. The Live Focus mode of A6+ will allow users to control the depth of field and bokeh effect before or even after the shot is taken. Users can also edit the pictures with unique background blur patterns with different shapes including hearts, stars etc. The LED flash on both devices is adjustable.
Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A6 and A6+ will be offered in Black, Blue, Gold, and Lavender colors and available from early May starting in select European, Asian and Latin American markets followed by South Korea, Africa, and China. In Europe, the Galaxy A6 starts at €309 (Approx. ₹24,800) and the Galaxy A6+ starts at €359 (Approx. ₹28,720).
