Paytm has introduced a new feature which lets you access your account and Pay to anyone without an active internet connection. Just by dialing a Toll-free number you can transfer the money or pay the bills to anywhere in India. This feature is specially introduced for those who don’t use the internet and use feature phones. It is also very useful where there is poor or no internet connectivity. 
What all you need?
- Smartphone or a Feature phone
- Existing Paytm account. If you don’t have the account, create a new account here.
- Paytm App to transfer money to your wallet. You can also add money by logging into Paytm.com
- Account balance
Once you have set up the account, Transfer the money to Paytm wallet by using Credit/Debit card or Net banking.
Setting up the PIN
- Dial the Toll-free number 1800 1800 1234 from your registered mobile number.
- Soon after ending the call, you will receive a Call (IVR) from Paytm to set the PIN.
- Select the language. Currently, English and Hindi language options are available.
- Set the 4 Digit PIN. This PIN is necessary while transferring the money or doing the payments.
How to use Paytm without the Internet connection?
- Dial the Toll-free number 1800 1800 1234 from your registered mobile number.
- Enter the recipient’s mobile number to whom you want to pay.
- Enter the amount you want to transfer.
- Enter the MPIN
That’s it. The amount will get transferred to Recipients wallet immediately. You will get the confirmation message after the successful transaction. The transaction will fail if you enter the wrong PIN. Always make sure you have entered the recipient’s mobile number properly. You check the transaction details using wallet passbook.
